A delicious everyday roast
Description
Topside is what we would refer to as the everyday beef roast. It is quite a lean joint and if cooked rare and cut thinly it is just simply delicious. We hang our topside for a minimum of three weeks and quite often it hangs for over four to ensure that it is succulent and tender.

Bought this for our Christmas Meal. Roasted beautifully in a Roast bag capturing all the meat juices.Let it rest then sliced while making the gravy. This cut of meat was so tasty and tender. A must for future special dinners.

a beautiful joint of beef, it is described as an every day cut but is delicious enough to qualify as a “special”. I have a couple more in the freezer so am looking forward to the next one. I roasted it, surrounded by onions, at 20 mins per 500g plus 20 mins over and it was perfect, as a bonus the Yorkshire puddings rose perfectly too! well done Macbeths

Superb meat. I roast it whole and then serve it cold with jacket potatoes. Once cooked it freezes well and provides an easy and delicious meal at a later date.

Tried as an alternative to our usual sirloin roast. Excellent and tasty cut of beef with great flavour.

I contacted the butcher last Sunday to say how disappointed we were with our topside and sirloin steaks it was our first order with them, I had a response straight away with an apology offering voucher or refund, I emailed back following day asking for refund indicated to contact me if they needed any information expected them to refund money back onto my card, 5 days later no response emailed again 2 days later still nothing, very disappointed, it would appear as soon as I asked for a refund I am being ignored. It appears their guarantee means nothing, needless to say I will not be ordering again.

Following my previous review I did receive a further email from Mr Gibson with an apology he has given me full refund, which I appreciate, just wish it had been dealt with better and he had continued to keep in contact as he did initially.
