Great tender steaks Cook in a frying pan on low heat after rubbing salt, black pepper and garlic salt in it. Cook for 10mins each side Serve with chips, peas and tomatoe

I always think a fillet steak needs a sauce because it does not have the flavour of a rib eye or sirloin. However I was proved wrong with the fillet steak I purchased recently: beautiful flavour, simply pan fried in butter, no sauce necessary. So tender as well , Will definitely reorder.

These were the lead item in our first trial order. The order came overnight on schedule in a large polystyrene box (with ice pack) arriving around 11:00 am – not bad from one end of the country (Forres) to the other (Devon). The only downside being disposal of the packaging but I don’t know if there are effective “greener” alternatives. So can’t fault the delivery service.
I ordered the 6 oz ones which turned out to be a very generous 6 ozs and plenty big enough for most appetites. The steaks are quite thick and I flattened them very slightly before cooking in a cast iron griddle pan for around 8 minutes (alternating 2 mins a side).You can’t really go wrong with fillet steaks but these are top of the range and highly recommended. Full marks – Huntsham.

Beautifully tender and succulent. Just melts in your mouth. Seared each side on very hot griddle, then turned heat down and cooked until medium rare and seved them traditionally with a knob of garlic butter. Superb. Well done MacBeth’s great service, great meat everytime

Ordered 6oz fillets for my Wife and both were a bit heavier. Yeah! I Cooked one on the Griddle pan for 4 mins either side and rested wrapped in foil for 15 mins for a rare to medium rare finish. Absolutely perfect flavour and so tender and succulent my Wife didn’t use the steak knife just a normal knife!

Ordered the 8oz fillet for myself as I like a bigger piece of meat! Both were heavier than 8ozs which was brilliant. Cooked for 5 1/2 minutes per side on a griddle because the fillet was well over an inch thick, rested for 15 minutes wrapped in foil and got the most pefect rare steak with beautiful jus from the wrapping and resting process. So so tasty, tender and succulent. Just amazing quality beef. Thank you Jock and the team!!
